About this Coffee

Mensur Aba Hika is a 3rd generation coffee producer located in the village of Kota in Western Ethiopia. His coffee is grown on an 18.2 hectare coffee plantation 1950 meters above sea level.

This Metu-Bishari coffee varietal has been selected from native forest plants in the Illubabor zone and widespread throughout Ethiopia due to its ability to deliver strong yields in the natural climate. Once harvested, the coffee cherries are laid on a raised bed to dry for 15-24 days.

The drying process is closely monitored and taken off the table in lots to ensure each lot is produced to a consistent standard. This coffee delivers a clean cup with a sweet sugary, jammy body and juicy mouthfeel.
