About this Coffee

Los Andes greets you with bright Lemon Lime notes. The bubbling acidity is paired with an underlying sweetness that reminds us of Nougat, while Hibiscus captures the depth and tropical florals. This cup will melt in your mouth and have you brewing more.

The words unique and integrity come first to mind when thinking about this coffee. This coffee is an opportunity for us to share the gift that is Honduran coffee. This is a unique single-origin offering that combines the work of three amazing producers, whose coffee we have enjoyed for years.

Alexander Martinez grows bourbon, pacas, and catimor, he washes all of his coffee and dries it on raised beds in greenhouses. The Pineda brothers, Anibal and Hernan, grow their coffee alongside fruit and other shade trees, and also use a washed process. We have featured micro-lots from each producer on our menu in previous years. This year, the micro-lots were brought together through this blend with the intention of housing each lot and bringing them to your home.

Our farmlevel partners in Santa Barbara have experienced quite a few lows in the past two harvest seasons. With the major effects of climate change and unpredictable weather patterns, harvest yields have declined in comparison to previous years. Despite this, the quality of this coffee is sturdy and the spirit behind it continues. We continue to look for ways to best support our partners. This blend is a step towards that support, where we have prioritized an investment in the quality of the coffee and the livelihoods of our partners. Los Andes is a gesture of gratitude for farmlevel.
