About this Coffee

Idido sparkles with its layered flavors and brightness, earning the well-deserved moniker a “splash of sunshine.” Idido is carrying us into the summer with popping nectarine and blueberry notes married together with the florals of honeysuckle.

The Idido station is located in the Yirgacheffe region, spanning from 1,960 to 2,090 meters. Smallholders in this area use intercropping to maximize their land use and also do not rely on the use of any fertilizers or pesticides. Coffee grows well in this region due to the ideal wet and dry conditions that occur seasonally.

The Idido station works with farmers to help them increase the quality of their harvest. Once cherries are harvested and received at the station, they are sorted to remove under ripe cherries. The cherry that passes inspection will go through the disc pulper and then ferment for 72 hours. The coffee in parchment is laid out to dry on raised beds for 12-15 days where it is raked periodically to ensure even drying at a steady rate.
