About this Coffee

We’ve been buying coffee from Mio Estate in Brazil since 2020, we’re buzzing that we still continue to buy exceptional coffees from their family farm 3 years on. If you’ve tasted coffee from Mio before – you’ll know that these coffees are a real delight to drink.

We’ve written about it before but Brazil suffered a severe frost in 2021 that decimated most of the country’s crop. Mio also suffered the effects of this frost, so it’s great to see them back and sending out knockout coffees again. The region of Minas Gerais where Mio is situated (located in the south east of the country), is the largest coffee-growing state in Brazil and accounts for over 55% of the country’s production. The processing this coffee has gone through has resulted in a pronounced body and developed, chocolatey sweetness.

This is a super classic Brazilian coffee with a wild nuttiness that we could drink all day long. It’s got oodles of sweet chocolate and creamy notes that are thick on the palate. It’ll work wonders however you choose to brew it which is what we love about coffees like these. When you splosh milk in this one it’s transformed into a bourbon cream, it’s legit!
