About this Coffee

It offers a nice balance of sweetness and a smooth body. Works well as a drip as well.

The Cerrado region, the newest of three major Brazilian growing regions, has been building in reputation and production over the last few decades. Located between Sao Paulo and Brasilia, coffee in this region is grown on high plateaus at elevations peaking at just over 1,000 meters above sea level. The region has relatively mild weather patterns providing more predictable climate conditions for processing coffee. This coffee is a natural processed coffee, meaning the
beans are dried in their cherry. This process is a more traditional method of processing coffee that needs less water and can produce a sweeter cup.

Home to some of the world’s finest coffee terrain, The coffee is shade grown
Arabica and hails from an altitude between 1600 – 1760 meters in elevation (where all of our 15
farmers live). The Gayo people have been growing Arabica in this area since the colonial days
and generation upon generation has relied on coffee as the backbone of their local economy.
