About this Coffee

In 2013, Kevin started making cold brew to bring to the farmer’s market. Cold brew was still a new thing back then, and he wasn’t sure how people would take to a cold coffee drink. It sold out. The next time he brought more. It sold out just as fast. It was clear that cold brew would become a staple product for Noble Coyote Coffee. Noble Coyote Cold Brew is now available at our roastery and at shops and stores all over the DFW metroplex as a ready-to-drink bottle or on draft infused with nitrogen.

Now we’re making the same blend of beans available to you for cold brewing at home. The specific blend of beans changes over time, but it always produces a rich, smooth, chocolatey sweet cold brew.

Here’s some tips for brewing it yourself:

  • Grind your beans as coarse as you can.

  • Brew at a 1:5 ratio. That’s 1 gram of coffee for every 5 grams (or mL) of water. To brew a whole bag at once, use 1700 grams (1.7 L) of water.

  • Use clean, filtered, room temperature water.

  • You can brew your coffee in a paper or cloth filter bag, or filter the grounds from the coffee when it is finished steeping.

  • Brew at room temperature for 15-16 hours.

  • Let the coffee grounds drain without squeezing them. Squeezing the grounds imparts bitterness to your brew.

  • Dilute to taste with water or your favorite dairy or dairy alternative (oat milk!).
