About this Coffee

A well-balanced Nicaraguan coffee with plenty of body and brightness.

Aldea Global began as a project with 22 small producers in 1992. The experience was motivated by the need to promote organic production, friendly to the environment, change the culture of the use of agrochemicals, improve health in families and promote its development. Since then, they’ve grown and integrated their business model with the surrounding municipalities, creating a financially and environmentally sustainable agricultural practice that benefits all parties involved. Aldea focuses on the development of direct relationships in order to maintain traceability and quality.

This coffee is a blend of Caturra and Catuai varietals, grown in the shade of trees on the side of mountains. Ripe cherries are picked by hand. It’s then wash processed and dried in the sun. This coffee is both Rainforest Alliance and Fair Trade certified.
