About this Coffee
Typica, Bourbon, Caturra & Catuai
Nutty, Stone Fruits, Chocolate, Berry
Located to the north of the country, Huehuetenango is one of Guatemala’s three non-volcanic regions. Its geographical terrain and its remote location greatly differentiate these coffees to others in Guatemala.
The territory contributes to the distinct flavours found in this coffee. The extreme remoteness means that most producers need to process their own coffees. It is quite uncommon in this region to find a centralised wet mill. Most producers within this area own a few hectares in which they will grow, wet-process and dry their own coffees.
