This story centers on the “Mujeres luchando por un mejor futuro,” a collective of 276 resilient women coffee farmers known as “Women Fighting for a Brighter Tomorrow.” In a region where many men have migrated to the United States, leaving families and farms behind, these women have banded together to face the challenge of managing farms and households alone. Their unity led to the formation of an association that not only benefits their community but also symbolizes resilience and solidarity.
