Farm Information
West Java Arabica, which is well-known for its trademark “PREANGER JAVA ARABICA”, seems to be a new name in the world of Indonesian Arabica beans, but it actually has a long history, having been planted and traded since the Dutch colonial times in the 19th century. Gradually, many West Java people transitioned their coffee plantations to tea estates.

Since early 2000, the farmers decided to return to planting coffee and West Java Arabica coffee was reborn. Papandayan Mountain is an active volcanic mountain located in Garut regency, West Java province. The volcano’s last eruption happened in November 2002. Area around Papandayan is one of the main areas of Arabica coffee farms in West Java. With an altitude around 1200 -1700m above sea level and volcanic soil, the farmers have cultivated a perfect Arabica coffee that can be called the best among other areas in West Java.

The total production per year is only 200 Metric Tons which makes the coffee one of the most wanted to be hunted down by hardcore coffee seekers.
