About this Coffee
This coffee comes from Luis Anibal, a well-known producer in Huila, who has been recognised for his farm, Villa Betulia. The farm is planted with a myriad of different varietals, including the SL28 varietal that is normally cultivated in Kenya. Luis’ farm is Located in the heart of San Agustin, Huila. They have been working with their family to promote specialty coffee through all their neighbours and relatives, creating an outstanding culture around coffee in their community.
This natural anaerobic processed coffee is an exceptionally complex example of a long 200 hour fermentation. The coffee cherries are placed in large plastic tanks which are sealed to prevent oxygen from permeating, the residual oxygen is then released through a one-way valve by the CO2 created during the fermentation.
