About this Coffee

We’re thrilled to introduce our second specialty Robusta ever, from a brand-new partnership that will bring a unique experience to your cup. Salawara Estate has been nurtured and lovingly cared for by 3 generations of the Y K family. Nestled in the charming region of Belur in Karnataka, Salawara Estate showcases the beauty of Robusta coffee beans.

This coffee was processed using the Red Honey method, in which coffee’s processed under more shade than usual to really slow down the drying time, allowing the cherry to fully develop its flavours, lending the coffee a sweeter taste with fruit-forward notes.

As you savour this coffee, expect notes of molasses, the richness of chocolate, and the nutty warmth of walnut. Our roasters decided to profile this coffee as a medium-dark roast to bring out the distinct characteristics of this coffee, creating a complex and bold flavour. The aroma is a delightful blend of dried fruit and walnut, setting the stage for the high-bodied, syrupy mouthfeel that envelops your palate. The chocolate and cocoa aftertaste lingers, leaving you with a satisfying finish that invites another sip.
