About this Coffee

Pea Berry (or PB) coffee beans are a mutation within the coffee cherry. Normally, coffee cherries have two beans inside that are oval and flat. In the PB mutation, one of the beans fails to grow and the one bean that does is smaller and rounder. Once the cherries are harvested and dried, the Peaberries can be separated out from larger beans, all done by hand, which makes these beans extra special. They are also usually smaller, rounder and denser which makes them roast more evenly- resulting in a sweeter coffee overall.

This washed coffee stays true to the description with sweet and tart notes found in cooked cherries or green grapes, with a sweet brown sugar and milk chocolatey finish.
