About this Coffee

This coffee was named Cattleya after the national flower of Colombia in honor of its complex floral characteristics. We partnered with Mercon Specialty on this exclusive coffee that they have curated with producer’s partners in Colombia for. The terrain of the Cundiboyacense region is mountainous with altitudes that range between 1,100-4,00 meters above sea level. Due to its complex microclimates, the coffee and other agricultural goods in this area have an amazing complexity to them.

Roast Story:

When we first sampled this coffee, we immediately loved the consistent and approachable nature of it. The subtle complexity and fusion of flavor led us to lean towards a light roast that is almost on the line of a light to medium roast. After doing a production roast with this coffee and tasted it, we couldn’t help but identify the strong chocolate and caramel notes, very similar to Rolo Candies!
